Only a select number of students each summer are selected to intern in the Harvard-MIT Bioinformatics Summer Program. Thanks in part to my Bay Path education and determination; I am among the handful of undergraduates across the country who will be working one-on-one with internationally renowned researchers this summer.
A once-in-a-lifetime experience, I’m absolutely thrilled to have this opportunity. The Harvard-MIT internship allows me to work with acclaimed scientists and perform hands-on, medical application research related to genetics and molecular biology. I’ve always believed science is my talent, and I’ve always wanted to use this talent to help society. This internship will bring me one step closer to achieving my dream as I broaden my knowledge in the medical field.
I believe Bay Path’s intensive forensic science and biology courses have definitely prepared me for this experience, in which I will build upon my knowledge in clinical case studies and genomic research. Throughout the years, the Bay Path faculty members have supported me in my educational pursuits, and I’m extremely thankful to them for this scientific research opportunity and preparing me for the future that lies ahead.
