Sam Casey '10

Sam Casey , ’ 10 Forensic Psychology

Bay Path’s quaint campus makes my college experience personal, even Dr. Carol Leary, the College’s president, knows my name. You are free to be who you want to be, and you don’t have to be anybody, but yourself.

I’ve always been interested in understanding why people do the things they do. Bay Path’s forensic psychology program opens the doors for me to comprehend why people commit crimes, live unhealthy lifestyles and more through relevant coursework in small classes and real-life experiences at internships. By working with a Bay Path alumna at the Mental Health Association Young Adult Program during my sophomore year, I gained valuable knowledge in advocacy, assessments, and teaching daily living skills and medical compliance. Bay Path solidified my career choice.

Bay Path encourages me to find myself and invites me to pursue my passions in forensic psychology and photography. Today, I’m preparing for graduation and a career, while running my own photography business, SamanthaElizabeth Photography. When I started posting my photos on Facebook, President Leary caught a glimpse of my work. When she told me, ‘Your photos are amazing,’ my jaw dropped. Where else will you find a President who supports your dreams. It’s the coolest thing, and I can’t imagine being anywhere else.

While finishing her senior year at Bay Path, Sam will complete another internship and continue to run SamanthaElizabeth Photography, http://samanthaelizabethphotography.com/
