In today’s world, with the cost of education, healthcare, and clinical service provision continuing to rise, the use of evidence-based practices to address challenging behavior in an effective but efficient manner is paramount.

Applied behavior analysis (ABA) offers educators, clinicians, business owners, school and health care administrators, and families a valuable approach to instruction, personnel management, and treatment of challenging behaviors that may impede successful performance in daily activities and routines. This approach is based on the careful use of behavioral assessment methodologies, empirically-driven measurement and analysis, and the selection and implementation of function-based treatment strategies.

The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Master's Degree program at Bay Path:

Offers a variety of program options and concentrations. A student enrolling in ABA at Bay Path chooses one of the following degree options:

48 Credit MS in ABA (includes coursework and supervision required to qualify for the BACB® Certification Exam)
51 credit EdS in ABA (for candidates with an MS or MA in a related field; includes ABA coursework and supervision with applied research focus)
57 Credit MS in ABA with Autism Spectrum Disorders Concentration
60 Credit MS in ABA with Supervision, Training and Organization Behavior Management (OBM) Concentration
60 Credit MS in ABA with Applied Verbal Behavior Concentration
60 Credit MS in ABA with Trauma-Informed Practice Concentration

All program options provide graduate-level instruction in Applied Behavior Analysis aligned with BACB® coursework and fulfill supervised fieldwork requirements outlined in the BACB® 2027 fieldwork requirements (restricted and unrestricted hours)

Prepares students to practice as scientists and clinicians in settings committed to the use of evidence-based behavioral treatment to address behavior and performance challenges
Prepares graduates to pursue credentialing in ABA and advance in professional settings that provide ABA services
Includes a 3-semester capstone project completed in an approved fieldwork setting
Provides graduate students an opportunity for supervised practice in a variety of special interest applications of ABA, including Organizational Behavior Management (OBM), health & safety, sports & fitness, supervision & staff training, and environmental sustainability (among others)
Coursework and 2,000 hours of supervised fieldwork overseen by experienced, supportive faculty (supervisors) included in all program options
Intensive test preparation and study support for BACB® and other credentialing exams in ABA
Leads to the eligibility to sit for the BACB® CERTIFICATION EXAM

60 credit MS in Applied Behavior Analysis with concentration in Supervision, Training & Organizational Management (OBM)
60 credit MS in Applied Behavior Analysis with concentration in Applied Verbal Behavior
60 credit MS in Applied Behavior Analysis with concentration in Trauma-Informed Practice

When can I start the program?

Classes start every January, May, and September.

Is the program online or in person?

The program is offered 100% online (courses and supervision). Remote supervision is provided; in specific cases onsite supervision may be arranged between the student and an approved setting

How much is tuition?

Do I have to take a standardized test for admission?

No. The GMAT and GRE are not required.

Will I have access to learning resources?

Yes. Students have access to mentoring, tutoring, library resources, academic resources, and career services.
