In Remembrance: September 11

Dear Bay Path Community,

As we mark the anniversary of September 11, 2001, let us take a moment to remember the lives lost and the profound impact this day has had on our nation and the world. For many, the memories of that tragic day are still vivid, a reminder of both the fragility of life and the strength of the human spirit.  The lessons of 9/11 teach us the importance of unity and compassion, values that are woven into the fabric of our institution through our Core Values.

When you reflect on the events of 9/11, I encourage you to observe a moment of silence in your classrooms and office spaces to honor and remember the lives lost and the profound global impact of the attacks on that day at two specific times: 8:46 AM and 9:03 AM, marking the moments when the first and second planes struck the Twin Towers.  It is a reminder that we must always stand together as a community in the face of adversity.

In a time when our country feels increasingly divided, may this day also serve as a reminder of the power of solidarity, kindness, and empathy.

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our students, each other, and the Core Values we uphold as a community.

In remembrance,

Sandra J. Doran
