Sandra J. Doran, J.D.

Sandra “Sandy” Doran, J.D. is the sixth President of Bay Path University, where she is recognized for her leadership in applied learning & teaching, effectiveness in technology and cyber innovation, commitment to outreach & belonging, and dedication to student success, lifelong learning, and industry partnerships.

Based on over 25 years of experience in higher education, supply chains, and the law, Sandy has advanced Bay Path’s mission to empower women, support adult learners, pioneer more impactful online education, and design programs that respond to mission-critical marketplace needs.

In 2024, Sandy spearheaded the merger with Cambridge College to further expand Bay Path’s online and in-person impact locally, nationally, and globally in the higher education landscape. This transformative and bold acquisition strengthened the University's portfolio and enhanced its ability to serve a diverse student population.

Prior to joining Bay Path University, Sandy served as the President of Salem College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, one of the nation's oldest women's educational institutions, where she led significant initiatives to increase enrollment, enhance academic programs, and strengthen the institution’s financial standing.

Sandy received her BA in Political Science from Southern Methodist University and her Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law.
