Julie L. Watson, PhD, OTR/L
Dr. Julie Watson joined Bay Path University in 2017 as the founding program director of the Post-professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate program, the first doctoral program in the university’s history. In 2020, she expanded her leadership roles, becoming the founding program director of the Doctor of Health Science program while also serving as the program director for the Master of Public Health program. Dr. Watson brings extensive experience in clinical and community practice, as well as expertise in online education.
Dr. Watson holds a PhD in Public Health and a Master’s in Health Science from the University of Florida, along with a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
In addition to her academic roles, Dr. Watson serves on the Board of Directors for the Betty Griffin Center and Wildflower Healthcare in St. Augustine, FL. She is also the Northeast Florida Regional Representative for the Florida Occupational Therapy Association.
Dr. Watson has presented at numerous conferences, including those hosted by the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals, the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Assistive Technology Industry Association, the Florida Occupational Therapy Association, the Online Learning Consortium, and the Western Association of Colleges.
