Laurie Rosner, DPS

Dr. Laurie Rosner is the Assistant Dean for Graduate & Doctoral Business Programs & Associate Professor in the School of Management & Technology.  She is a graduate of Pace University in New York City with a doctorate in management. Her research focus is narratives and how they impact and influence individuals’ cognitive, effective, and narrative engagement with strategic actions when solving a work-related problem to achieve higher-level outcomes and future learning intention.  She is a double Bay Path alumna with an undergraduate and graduate in business.

Dr. Rosner leads the BPU Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, along with newly acquired Cambridge College Doctor of Business Administration, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science in Quality Systems & Improvement Management, Master of Business Administration (NEIB), Master of Human Resource Management, Master of Science in Business Ethics and Compliance,  MBA, Master of Management – General, Master of Management of Business Puerto Rico, Master of Management of Technology Puerto Rico, and MBA – Spanish.

Dr. Rosner is an experienced executive, professor, entrepreneur, and community leader. She led the overall marketing and branding of a community bank at the level of Senior Vice President for over 20+ years. She was part of the executive team who brought the bank from $285 million to $2 billion with public trading on NASDAQ Global Select Stock Market. She has received numerous marketing awards on branding and innovation and has been a guest speaker locally and nationally, including Stamford University Faculty Club and Harland Financial Solutions.

She has taught since 2008 at Bay Path in the MBA program with a focus in management, organizational change, marketing, leadership and strategy. She was honored with a Distinguished Teaching Award in 2013 from Bay Path. In 2019, Dr. Rosner was given the highest honor given by Bay Path University, the Estelle Leavitt Award for Teaching Excellence, for her unique and profound influence that Bay Path faculty exert on the educational experience and student potential.

Dr. Rosner is passionate about education, student success and their career development.  Dr. Rosner is a lifelong learner and believes in practicing what she teaches. As a practitioner, she owns A Story Making Company, LLC in Enfield, CT. Her company’s focus is Marketing, Business, and Leadership Strategies by creating ways to thread meaningful stories, narratives throughout every initiative with strategic actions to achieve a company’s vision and growth/profit goals.  "A story" encourages people to take action and an experience is the "making" of the storytelling.  www.astorymakingcompany.com.

Being involved in the community is also very important to Dr. Rosner. She is the past 2016/2017 President of the Springfield Rotary Club, a past President of the North Central Connecticut
