Mary Ellen Shields, MEd

Mary Ellen Shields serves the students at Bay Path University as the Reading Specialist Practicum Program Supervisor and as a faculty member. Ms. Shields has over a 30-year career as a teacher and licensed Reading Specialist. As District Reading Specialist and K-5 ELA Curriculum Leader, Mary Ellen has coordinated the reading program of a school district by providing professional development, conducting workshops, supervising instructional assistants, coaching teachers, implementing assessments and data meetings, modeling lessons, as well as working with students.
