Rebecca Kellam, OTD, OTR/L, BCP
Dr. Rebecca Kellam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Bay Path University with a specialized focus in pediatrics. With over 15 years of experience in the field and a specialty board certification in pediatrics, she is dedicated to advancing the practice of pediatric occupational therapy through innovative research and a deep commitment to community engagement.
Dr. Kellam's research focuses on participatory action research (PAR) methodologies, which emphasize collaborative efforts between researchers, practitioners, and the communities they serve. Her work primarily explores how occupational therapists identify their role in public education. By involving stakeholders directly in the research process, Dr. Kellam aims to ensure that the findings are both practical and transformative.
Her work has been published in the Journal of Occupational Therapy, Schools, & Early Intervention and state guideline resources. Dr. Kellam's contributions to pediatric occupational therapy extend beyond publication. She is actively involved in professional organizations and serves as an item writer for AOTA’s Advanced Certification Commission for the specialty in pediatrics.
