Bay Path University’s educator preparation programs offer various ways candidates can prepare for MTELs (Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure). An MTEL Coach on staff works with candidates in small groups, or larger workshops held in the evenings or on weekends to accommodate working professionals. The MTEL Coach is supported by Student Academic Support Services, and works collaboratively with full-time faculty in the Education Department.
Content from some of the MTELs is infused into coursework, giving candidates the opportunity to engage and practice with test information. In addition, Bay Path contracts with outside workshop opportunities for different MTELs, which are held both online and on-ground at the various campus locations, conveniently scheduled on evenings or weekends. All of these support services are offered at no cost to currently enrolled Bay Path University teacher candidates.
