Bay Path University has been awarded a federal grant totaling $1,201,833 from the U.S. Dept. of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) to train special education teachers. The grant began October 1, 2023, and continues through September 30, 2028.

Scholar Benefits of the Grant
The OSEP grant funding is competitive and includes scholarship funds for eligible individuals enrolled in the Graduate Special Education Dual Licensure Program to cover:

MTEL preparation and exams
Licensure fees
Intensive mentoring while in the program and for two years after graduation
Application-based coursework

The grant has allowed Bay Path University to realign its graduate courses in the Special Education Licensure programs to the Council for Exceptional Children Initial Practice-Based Standards for Special Education, leading to National Accreditation and Recognition for Bay Path University in the future.
