What is Direct Admissions?
Direct Admissions is a program that allows colleges to accept first-year students to their institutions starting in Fall 2025, based on their Niche profiles. Bay Path looked for students who are specifically academically talented and a good fit for our college! Direct Admissions, in general, is designed to help reduce the stress and anxiety many students and families experience by removing the application itself.
Is this a real offer?
Yes! If you received a conditional acceptance when you logged into your Niche profile, then congratulations! Bay Path University has partnered with Niche Direct Admissions and offered this exclusive opportunity to students like you for Fall 2024. You should be so proud of this accomplishment!
What does the "conditional" offer mean?
Great question! You’ve been offered a conditional acceptance based on the academic information and GPA that you provided on your Niche profile. Our Admissions team will verify that once we have your transcript. They will also match you with your major of interest.
What major was I accepted to?
Your conditional offer is an acceptance to Bay Path University, but not a specific major. By completing the Onboarding Form and/or connecting with an Admissions Counselor, you’ll be able to select/share your specific major of interest. Once the Admissions team formally reviews your information, they’ll be able to best match you with one of our majors!
What do I need to do next?
If you would like to accept your offer of Direct Admissions log into your Niche profile and click on “Next Steps”. This will bring you to the Bay Path Direct Admissions webpage where you will complete the onboarding form and upload your transcript.
You may also have your transcript emailed to us at admiss@baypath.edu . Once both of those pieces are received, our Admissions team will formally review them, verify your GPA, and get back to you with an official admission decision. This can take up to two weeks, but often less time.
If you would like to learn more about Bay Path before submitting your onboarding form, then you should set up a visit or schedule an appointment with your Admissions Counselor !
Is the scholarship offer real?
Bay Path is happy to offer merit scholarships upon acceptance! The merit award that you see on your Niche profile is offered based on the GPA that you reported. Once that is verified against your transcript, then it will be accurate. No need to worry, as all students receive a merit award, which is renewable all four years!
What is the difference between Direct Admissions and applying?
The biggest difference is that Direct Admit students do not need to take the extra steps to apply, submit supplemental documents, and wait significant time for an admission decision. Again, Bay Path identified students like you, who are a great fit for our community, and wanted to make this process as easy and straightforward for you as possible. We’re also able to offer scholarships up front as well!
Should I still submit an application through Common App?
No need! If you would like to provide additional supplemental information like an essay, letter of recommendation, SAT scores, etc. you may do that through Common App or by emailing those to admiss@baypath.edu

What if I don’t want to accept my offer right now?
That’s okay! We encourage you to learn as much as you can about Bay Path to ensure it’s the best match for you! This offer will remain until the late spring, so you have time. By completing the onboarding form, you aren’t committing to Bay Path, you are simply letting us know that you would like to be an officially accepted student.
Once accepted students are ready to commit to Bay Path, you’ll submit an enrollment deposit and Intent to Enroll form. Our Admissions Team will help you with all of this.
