The Student Government Association (SGA) executive board members Khadeejah Abbasi (SGA President), Mackenzie O’Rourke (SGA Vice President), Dhuhu Abdulazeez (Junior Year Delegate) Nadia Podolyanchuk (Second Year Delegate) along with SGA Advisors Dinah Moore and Bianca Romero attended the American Student Government Association (ASGA) Fall Summit in Orlando Florida from November 15-17th.
In addition to attending the summit, the group also spent their first day at the Second Harvest Food Bank (a food bank and emergency center in Central Orlando), where they volunteered to help local vendors obtain and sort food items for their communities.
The students also attended several leadership workshops and met other SGA students and advisors from colleges and universities across the US. The experience ended with visiting the Magic Kingdom, as none of the students had ever been to Disney.
The students cannot wait to share what was learned with the other SGA members and the BPU community.
