And They’re Off! Students, Staff, Faculty, Alumni, Trustees and Community Members Race to the Finish in 2016 Carpe Diem Dash
1of12
Over 160 people came to Bay Path’s Longmeadow campus on a chilly Saturday morning to “dash” to the finish in the 6th Annual Carpe Diem Dash for a good cause: to raise funds for scholarships. This year, the event netted $4,450.
Participants spanned the University community and beyond. More than 100 students joined in the fun, and Director of Residence Life and Learning Lindsie Lavin led a five-week 5K training program, offering them helpful tips each day to prepare for the race.
The event featured live music, food, a “Fun Run” for kids 12 and younger, and awards for each division. Joe Hagerty won first place with a total time of 17:52, and Kristin Su came in first for women with an overall time of 20:18. Our own Dr. Carol A. Leary participated as well, finishing in 45:49.
