The countdown to commencement is on. With just over a month to go, we asked soon-to-be graduate Megan Griffin about her plans after graduation and her experience as a Bay Path student.
Megan, a professional writing major, will be pursuing her M.A. in English this fall at Bridgewater State University. Her long-term goal is to become an English professor.
“Bay Path has helped me believe in myself by giving me so many professional mentors,” says Megan. “Everyone I asked was more than willing to write me a letter of recommendation for graduate school and offered their advice if they had been through grad school applications before. Dr. Patrick-Weber (assistant professor of rhetoric and composition) was especially helpful in telling me her journey to becoming an English professor and giving me advice throughout my journey.”
Megan’s advice for future and current Bay Path students is to take advantage of the tight-knit community Bay Path has to offer.
“Every connection you make here can lead to another connection, helping you determine your career path and find the right position for you. I would also advise you to soak up every moment with the life-long friends you will make here, as four years flies by faster than you can even imagine.”
